Nuclear Medicine

The Nuclear Medicine service is in its infantile stage currently. We are presently performing routine studies such as bone, Hepatobiliary (Hida), thyroid and renal scans. More procedures will be available in the near future.

Nuclear medicine is available two days per week: Monday and Tuesday by appointments only from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Nuclear Medicine utilizes radioactive pharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat a wide variety of disease and disorders. The examinations are performed by injecting or having the patient swallow the medication for each procedure. The specially built equipment with the use of computers detects the medicine in the patient and generates an image.
